Overview:

Precision air rifle competition shooting is a widely practiced shooting sport discipline for juniors and adults. Air rifle competitions offer both accessible recreational sport and high-performance competition. The Grand Rapids Rifle & Pistol Club offers several options for all shooters, regardless of experience. 

  • Rifle: An air rifle must be chambered for .177 caliber only. It must be single shot. Any sight not containing lens or system of lenses is permitted. Telescopic sights on rifles are prohibited.
  • Equipment: Specialized equipment, including a jacket, trousers, and shooting glove are permitted to be used.

*Adaptive shooting options are available. 

Leagues:

National Rifle League (40-shots standing) – The league consists of 10 postal matches fired January – March. 

Matches:

Orion’s Standing Air Rifle Virtual Matches (60-shots standing) – Occurs monthly. 

NRA Precision Air Rifle 3 Position Open Sectional – 01/14/2023, 10:00 AM

Additional matches are held periodically throughout the year. These matches will be added to the club calendar.
